Vaccum for most of us is nothingness and emptiness. Most of us love being in a highly packed and charged scenario, be it in our workplace or be it our personal lives. However, whenever I havent gt much to do, which incidentally is quite often, I cant help but wonder about the silent power of nothingness...of vaccum.
A lot of meditation gurus talk about creating a blank in the mind, so as to become more aware of our true self. And this blank for me is essentially a vaccum. In this vaccum I am insulated from external influences and am sensitised to the "real" me. The small voice inside me that peters away under heavy external influences like deadlines or relationships or even ambition, becomes bolder in this vaccum of mine. It talks, assertive and firm, and compels me to sit up and take notice. It voices what I like and dislike, regardless of what other people want me to like or dislike. And suddenly I find the real "me"... Who was lost amidst a zillion expectations, crying to be liberated. How and when is just a matter of speculation.
